About these terms

These terms cover your use of this website, run by Global Protection & Investigations, Inc. ("GPI," "we," "us"). By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Our security services are covered by a separate written service agreement, not by these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

Using this site

This site gives general information about GPI and our services. You may use it for lawful purposes only. Please do not:

• Scrape or copy the site in bulk, or use bots to send forms or chat messages
• Overload the site or interfere with how it works
• Try to get around, test or break the site's security
• Submit false information or someone else's contact details

Quotes and service agreements

Nothing on this site creates a service relationship. That only starts when you and GPI both sign a written service agreement.

Website text, chat replies and quotes are estimates. They are not binding offers. Prices, availability and coverage are only confirmed by GPI staff. If a signed service agreement says something different from these terms, the signed agreement controls.

Emergencies

In an emergency, call 911. This website, its forms and its chat are not monitored as emergency channels. Do not use them to report a crime in progress or to ask for urgent help.

Licenses

GPI holds California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Private Patrol Operator license PPO 120206 and Private Investigator license PI 188419.

AI chat assistant

• The chat on this site is an automated AI assistant, not a person.
• Its replies may be wrong or incomplete.
• Do not rely on it for legal, safety or security decisions.
• Nothing it says is an offer or a contract, and it cannot commit GPI to a price, schedule or coverage.
• Do not share payment card numbers, passwords or other sensitive information in the chat. See how the chat handles your information.

Text messages (SMS)

• What it is: GPI sends text messages about your request and your service. We do not send texts from marketing lists.
• How you join: by checking the optional text box on a request form, or by texting us first. The box is unchecked by default.
• Consent to texts is optional and is not a condition of any purchase.
• Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to stop texts. Reply HELP for help, or call (916) 588-3359.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your number and consent.

Our content

The text, design and logos on this site, and GPI's photos, belong to GPI. Please do not copy or reuse them without our written permission.

Links to other sites

This site links to sites we do not control, such as Google and the BBB. Their own terms and privacy policies apply there. We are not responsible for their content.

No warranties

As far as California law allows, this site and its chat are provided "as is" and "as available." We work to keep information accurate, but we do not promise that the site is complete, current, error free or always available.

Limitation of liability

As far as California law allows, GPI is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages that come from using this site or its chat, or from not being able to use them. GPI's responsibility for security services is set by your signed service agreement.

Indemnity

If you misuse this site or break these terms and that leads to a claim against GPI, you agree to cover GPI's resulting losses and reasonable costs, including attorney fees.

Governing law

These terms are governed by California law. Any dispute about them will be handled in the courts of Sacramento County, California.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
